Trip Advisor’s #7 ranked thing to do in Rome: Trevi Fountain

You have your bathing suit picked out, a new pair of sunglasses on your face and stylish sandals on your feet… all you need now is to wear them on VACATION! Planning your summer staycation or vacation, odds are you have been on Facebook getting inspiration for your next trip based on your friends’ photos. According to SocialMediaToday more than half of all Facebook users are doing the same thing! (I was even one of them when planning my European adventure!)
Are you getting hotel suggestions from the Tripadvisor page on facebook? (I spent hours looking at their hotel and restaurant reviews and photos) Tripadvisor should be loving the benefits of social media this travel season. Since “sharing photos on social media is the new postcard” (according to SocialMediaToday), the page is beaming with colorful images and videos enticing followers to embark on new adventures. Not only are photos helping the site, but reviews are submitted by almost half of those who travel. (That’s how I knew what reservations I had to make a month in advance. Thank you reviews!)
Once you go on vacation, and you are making your wish at the Trevi Fountain, (which you found as one of the top rated Tripadvisor destinations in Rome), there is a 75% chance that you are taking a photo there and posting it back on Social Media. Maybe you are like me and you get lost trying to find the #1 ranked gelateria in the city, but when you finally get there it makes the gelato taste that much better. So, you snap a photo and post it on social media continuing to entice your followers to plan their summer vacation.
Don’t you wish you were in the travel industry to reap the benefits of social media this travel season.
